Lee Thorpe, Jr.
Lee Thorpe, Jr. is a sociology doctoral student in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at West Virginia University. His research interests are; sexualities, status characteristics theory, culture, and sociological theory. Lee received his Master of Arts in Humanities and Social Thought with a concentration in Gender Politics from New York University and his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with concentrations in gender and sexuality, and race and ethnicity from Stony Brook University. Lee’s current dissertation work focuses on how homophily effects partner and relationship satisfaction in same-sex coupling. In his spare time, Lee enjoys playing volleyball, reading, cooking, baking, and traveling.
