Alecsandra Vac

Curriculum Vitae

Alecsandra Vac started her adventure with West Virginia University in 2015. While earning a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Criminology and Women/Gender Studies, she worked with the West Virginia Innocence Project. This experience influenced her decision to research the way that race plays a role in the criminal justice institution (especially in cases of wrongful conviction), while hoping to educate others in the process. Alecsandra was also the recipient of the 2018-2019 Ron Althouse Scholarship, which helped her continue her studies at WVU starting Fall 2020.
