Julia Kay Wolf earned her BA double majoring in sociology and psychology and minoring in both business management and marketing from Case Western Reserve University in 2015. She earned her MA in sociology from WVU in 2017 and is currently a PhD candidate in the Department's “community” specialization. Wolf has also completed a graduate certificate in Applied Statistics in the WVU Department of Statistics. She has held multiple leadership roles in SOCA’s Graduate Sociology Association, was a University Provost 3-Year Graduate Fellow (2017-2020), and served as a managing editor for Population Research and Policy Review (2016-2018). Wolf's interests are in the spatial distribution of health behaviors/outcomes and mortality across the United States and the social and physical environmental factors that affect these place-based disparities. Her dissertation explores health-related disparities by sexual orientation.
