Matthew Hartwell
Matthew is a fourth year PhD student in Sociology. Matthew is originally from Upstate New York and received his Bachelor's of Science in Sociology from The State University of NY - Oneonta. At WVU he works as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and is researching the effects of digital technology and social media on behavior. The rise of online communities and competitions are also at the forefront of his research agenda. Matthew's other areas of interest include Social Psychology, Sociology of Media, and Sociology of Knowledge.
