CURRICULUM VITAE

Mikaela completed her Bachelor's degree in Sociology with focuses in race/ethnic relations and gender/sexuality at The Pennsylvania State University in 2017. She completed her Master's degree in Sociology at West Virginia University in 2019; her thesis studied interparticipant connection in facilitated dialogue and advocated for implicating facilitation techniques in governmental relations and policy creation. She is a third-year doctoral student in the sociology program and works for the Sociology and Anthropology department at WVU as a graduate instructor of sociology and criminology. Her current research interests include race, gender, public policy, social problems, and political sociology.
