Robert Nicewarner

CURRICULUM VITAE

Rob is a fifth year PhD student in sociology, with an emphasis in crime. He received his BA in criminology in 2015 and his MA in 2019, both from West Virginia University. He has previously worked as a Graduate Research Assistant working on the West Virginia Quality of Life Survey grant, a statewide victimization and quality of life survey, and the West Virginia Social Science Survey, a statewide general social survey. Currently, Rob is an instructor at the university, teaching Introduction to the Criminal Justice System. His current research interests include the psychodynamic aspects of police and community relationships, rural policing, and societal perceptions of cannabis policy and use.
