Curriculum Vitae

PhD student Shah Alam is originally from Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. He earned Bachelor and Masters in Sociology. A WVU May 2021 graduate, Shah worked on a master’s thesis titled “Adult Delinquency and Victimization: A Test of Differential Association Theory with New Data.” Moreover, he is working with WVU Amish Research Team (ART) and serving the Graduate Sociology Association as Treasurer.  Shah has presented his scholastic work in several professional conferences. His research interest area includes Adolescent Delinquency, Probation Supervision, Correction, Drugs and Substance use, and Ostracism in Amish community.
