Kathleen Reilly, MA

Advising Specialist

Kathleen Reilly is a Program Coordinator and Advising Specialist in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Born on L.I., NY, she moved to Morgantown, WV in 1990 and obtained her degrees at WVU.

Prior to joining SOCA in June 2016, Kathleen was an adjunct instructor and advisor for the Davis College of Agriculture and the College of Education and Human Services for several years. Shortly thereafter, she served the wider Morgantown community as a Victim Advocate at both the Monongalia County and Preston County Child Advocacy Centers and has worked at the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office processing child abuse and neglect cases. In her current role as Advising Specialist, Kathleen’s primary responsibility is advising freshman Criminology students, in which she is able to use her past experience to assist students in exploring careers in the Criminology field. She also participates in New Student Orientation, Mid-Year Academy, and recruiting events. Kathleen is excited to continue her career at WVU and enjoys helping students achieve their academic and career goals.
