Kimmy is the Student Success Coordinator in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. She was a first generation college student and is a three-time graduate of WVU earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology, a Masters of Social Work, and a Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology. She has worked as a licensed social worker in the state of WV for the past 15 years primarily spending this time mentoring and guiding students towards their academic and career goals. She is a native of Appalachia, growing up in a small town in the Northern Panhandle of WV and living most of her adulthood in Morgantown.
In her spare time, Kimmy enjoys reading, gardening, hiking, visiting waterfalls, the arts (both doing them and enjoying the works of others), and taking care of her cats. She has six furry kin (aka, her cats) and loves to hear the stories others have of their pets.
