Opeyeoluwa Daniel Alade
Opeyeoluwa Daniel Alade earned a B.Sc. in Sociology from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, and is now a second-year doctoral student in Sociology at West Virginia University. His research looks at how the media creates fear and moral panic about cybercrime, with a focus on cases like identity theft.
Daniel studies how news and media reports shape the way people think about online crime and how this can affect public opinion and policy. He uses data and sociological ideas to understand these issues and their effects on society.
He is currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Sociology Department at West Virginia University.
