GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT

Md Sirajul Islam is a first-year doctoral student in Sociology and a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) for the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at WVU. Mr. Islam is from Naogaon, Bangladesh. He received his BSS and MSS in Sociology from the University of Chittagong and also received an MA in Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has research interests that include social stratification and inequalities, rural sociology and migration. He has been serving as an Associate Instructor (on Study Leave) at the National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD), Bangladesh, where he began his career as a Research Officer in 2013.
