Taj Uddin

GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT

A. S. M. Taj Uddin is currently a first-year doctoral student in Sociology at West Virginia University and a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. His research interests include violence against women, sexual violence, crime against humanity, war crimes, human trafficking, refugee, juvenile delinquency, environment and perceptions of the criminal justice system. Taj is from Chattogram, Bangladesh. He earned his LL. B. (Honours) and LL. M. from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He has been serving as an Assistant Professor (Study Leave) in Law at Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST) since 2019. Previously he worked at the Department of Law, Cox’s Bazar International University (CBIU) as Assistant Professor from 2018 to 2019. Prior to joining at CBIU, Mr. Taj started his teaching career as a Lecturer at the Department of Law & Justice, North East University Bangladesh in 2013. Then he was promoted to the post of Assistant Professor in the same institution in 2017. He was enrolled as a legal practitioner of Supreme Court of Bangladesh in the year of 2017 and Chittagong District Judge Court in the year of 2013
