Scott Kevin Turner

Scott K. Turner earned his Juris Doctor at New York Law School and Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Rutgers School of Criminal Justice.  His professional background includes service as a state police trooper, practice as a criminal defense and civil rights attorney, and lecturing in legal studies and criminal justice at the university level.  Mr. Turner is an active member of the New York City Bar Association with previous service on the Corrections and Re-entry Committee and current membership on the Legal History Committee.  His research interests cover a broad range of topics in constitutional policing & civil liberties, social control & deviance, and socio-legal analysis.  His dissertation research examines variations in due process from a sociological perspective using Blackian theory.
