Whitney Tyree

Whitney Tyree is a doctoral student in sociology at West Virginia University.  Whitney received their Bachelor of Social Work from Cleveland State University in 2020.  While attending Cleveland State University, Whitney worked as a case manager in an urban subsidized housing community and researched social participation as a CSU McNair Scholar.  After graduating, Whitney researched political participation and sexual violence in the non-profit sector as a summer intern.  Whitney’s research interests include religious and carceral institutions, social movements, community-based research, and methods.
